At its’ regular scheduled May meeting the Gallitzin Sewer Authority (GSA) passed Resolution 5-20 which calls for a pressure test to be completed by the buyer/seller when a home is sold. It will also allow the GSA to request a pressure test by a homeowner when excessive flows from that home into the sewer system is caused by groundwater or stormwater. Resolution 5-20 will allow the GSA to comply with the mandate from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Agency ordering the authority to reduce flows and eliminate overflows in the system.
